Are you getting disturbed when you found all the newly installed program get highlighted while clicking on Start> All program. Given below is the sample image of a highlighted programs.
You can disable this highlighted programs by the option given inside the Windows. Right click on Start option. Go to properties. It will display Taskbar and Start Menu Properties screen. Select Start menu for XP users and click on “Customize”.
In Advanced Tab check off the “Highlight newly installed program option”
You may check Programs again. It will show no highlights on newly installed programs.
In this way you can disable the program highlights. If you are new to Windows you do not need to disable the program because it will help you to distinguish between new and old installed programs.
